Instant Egg Drop Soup

What you'll need:
2-3 Eggs
2-3 c. water
1 pk. instant noodle(preferably mama, the silver package shrimp lime or something)
Rice cooker or
can cook on stove

Process:
Pour the water into the rice cooker or pot. Wait till water boils then add the seasoning package form the instant noodle. Save the noodles for another time. We just need the seasoning. Mix well. Then in a bowl beats the eggs well. Once water boils stir the water til there's a small whirlpool. Then pour the eggs in a circular motion. Wait about 30 seconds for the eggs to settle and cook a bit. Once you see the eggs cook mixx it a bit. And it's ready to eat!
Enjoy!

Mock Sushi

What you'll need:
Rice cooker
2 c. Sticky rice
1 package Seaweed(nori)
1 can Spam
Salt
2-3 Eggs
Oil
Frying pan

Process:
In the pot pour the rice in and rinse. After rinsing place back in rice cooker and press cook. While you're waiting for the rice to cook prepare the spam and eggs. Julienne the spam, meaning cutting the spam into thin long strips. Then place aside. In a bowl beat the eggs. Now turn the stove on high. pour some oil into the pan and wait till it heats up. once the oil is heated pour the egg into the pan. Wait about 30 seconds or until the eggs make a nice sheet. Lower the heat to medium-high and thoroughly cook the egg, don't forget to flip. Once the eggs are done remove and cut thin strips as well. When the rice is done cooing. Grab a nori sheet and place on flat surface. Coat the rice paddle with salt water and mix the rice. Add a sprinkle of salt into the rice and mix well. Then spoon some onto the nori sheet. Leave about an inch of space on the side closet to you. Now spread the rice thinly and carefully, not to rip the nori sheet. Once that is done, place the eggs and spam on top. Remember not to add to much because rolling it will be difficult. Now roll it tightly then cut in half. And cut each half in half. You should have about 8 pieces. Play around with this until you are comfortable with the amount you put in it.
Enjoy!

New Spin on Instant Noodles

Here's a couple ideas that is pretty filling for those of you on a budget!

Add eggs to you're instant noodles! It makes the broth sweet and it fills you up more!

What you'll need for this recipe:
yield: 1 serving
time: 5-10 mins

2-3 1/2 c. Warm-hot water
1 pkg. Choice of instant noodle/ramen
1 Rice cooker
1 bowl
1-2 eggs

Prepare(original rice cooker with keep warm/ cook option):

In the rice cooker add the water and close the lid. Than flip the switch so that it is on the cook setting. Wait a minute or two then open the lid to see if it is boiling. Once the water boils add the contents of the package into the rice cooker. Add the can of vienna sausages then close the lid. Wait another minute till the noodle starts to cook. Open the lid and taste if noodle is cooked to the consistency that you like. Once it's done crack in the egg(s) and stir then wait a minute or so. You can also beat the eggs before, which I recommend, but if you're lazy then just crack the eggs straight into the rice cooker and mix. Once it's finished cooking unplug the rice cooker. Now transfer the noodles into a bowl and serve.

Prepare( rice cooker with different settings for different types of rice):

In the rice cooker add the water and close the lid. Then make sure you press the cook button. Once it's finished cooking press cancel and unplug the rice cooker. Now transfer the noodles into a bowl and serve.

You can also just use spam if you prefer that over vienna sausage. Just throw in the spam about 3-4 minutes before the noodles are done so the spam can cook.

ENJOY!

Egg-xellent Ideas

HEY GUYS! I know it's been awhile since I've last posted anything on here. I've been so busy with school. But here's something that'll help fill that appetite :]

Hard boiled eggs

Need:
Rice cooker
Water
Eggs(as many as you want)
Rice(optional)

Process:
Turn the rice cooker on and pour some water into the rice cooker. Enough to cover the eggs. Place the eggs into the rice cooker, close the lid and press cook. After about minutes the eggs should be done!
Enjoy!

Process(with rice):
Sometimes I'm just to lazy to boil eggs and I just do it while I cook rice. It saves time for a busy college student.

Place rice(amount? up to you) into the rice pot and remember to wash! It cleans the starch, dust, and whatever impurity from the rice. Give it a good 2-3 rinse. Once you're done with the rice. Place it into the rice cooker and then add the eggs(Don't forget to rinse the eggs!). Just stick them into the rice, close the lid and press cook. After about 15-20 minutes. The rice and eggs should be good to eat!
How you want to eat them? Up to you :]
Enjoy!

Storing boiled eggs:
You can store the boiled eggs for up to 2 days if you aren't eating them immediately.

Poached

Need:
Water
Rice cooker
Eggs
Ladle or slotted spoon

Process:
Pour in about 3-4 cups of water and press cook. Wait for the water to boil then crack in the eggs. Wait about two to three minutes. Then use your spoon and gently removes the eggs. Season with salt and pepper is you so desire.
Enjoy!

Until another blog.
